On August 11th, 2008 a motorcycle rider and racer was involved in a car vs bike accident. Mark Asbury was traveling at 40 mph on the way to work when a car pulled out from a parking lot. He struck the side of the car and flip over the roof landing in the median of the street. He suffered 8 fractures to the pelvis, a broken leg, a broken wrist and a lacerated testicle. He is now in rehab recovering. He will not be able to walk for 3 months. He has insurance but he is not able to work so he has no income to pay current bills.
